LIT College and Young Adult Ministries
LIT - "Love, Inspire, Teach" - is the Young Adult Ministry of The Crossing Church. Our heartbeat is for the
“20-somethings” of the Montgomery and Harris counties—a
demographic that in large part has been alienated from the Church and
doesn’t feel like they really belong in a community of faith.
Wherever you find yourself on the faith spectrum: skeptic, seeker,
complacent, zealous, jaded, burnt-out, or just bored, the goal of LIT
is to provide a safe and honest place for our generation to wrestle
with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus and our place within it.
This year we’re taking a different
approach to LIT: rethinking what it means to be the church, how to
“do” church, and what the day-to-day, week-to-week process of
becoming more like Jesus looks like. You can expect to be challenged
in what you believe as we dig into the Word of God and let Him change
us; you can expect to be pleasantly surprised at what “being
church” could actually look like. Our model is way more about
community and way less about traditional church structures. We think
the vision for LIT this year is something fresh, relevant, and an
approach to living out the Gospel that actually feels like Good News.
It’s not always going to be perfect, but we invite you to join us
as we seek to tell the most ancient and beautiful of stories in a
fresh and powerful way.
